This is a post about what I’ve been up to lately. There haven’t been any major recent updates to this site or to OpenResizer, so you might be wondering what’s happening. Well, I’ve been busy working on a new software project. To put it vaguely, the software being built is an inventory management application that is in its initial phases. I don’t have any interesting screenshots to show because there isn’t much of a GUI yet – I’m still working on the “plumbing” (the things that are not visible on the screen). I’ll share more details when I’m ready.
As far as OpenResizer is concerned, even thought he software is fully functional, I don’t consider it fully complete yet because there are changes and features that I’d still like to add. The biggest change that I want to make is moving the GUI from using GTK to Tkinter. All my projects will be in Tkinter now, so I don’t want to maintain code that uses GTK. This will be a huge undertaking, so I’m not sure when I will have time to make a change as big as that to OpenResizer, but it’s something I would like to do someday. That change will probably end up making OpenResizer smaller in file size too, which would be nice.
Until the next blog post, bye!
